Redox binutils prerequisites checksum failure

Sorry in advanced i suck at formatting and writing posts

I discovered something odd when i decided to clone the redox repository and build it via make all
but i kept getting a build error (kinda) the checksum failed every time at the binutils ./contrib/download_prerequisites step (prefix.mk)

gmp-6.1.0.tar.bz2: OK
mpfr-3.1.4.tar.bz2: FAILED
sha512sum: WARNING: 1 computed checksum did NOT match
error: Cannot verify integrity of possibly corrupted file mpfr-3.1.4.tar.bz2

Now whats even odder to me anyways is that if i comment out the prefix Makefile and do it manually everything works

I have the same problem as you. I will report this problem in dev channel for there is not much people here.
