How does netsurf run on redox? There's no x11?

As I understand, netsurf uses x11, but it doesn’t run on redox?

As for graphics, does it have a software rendering backend which you use?

I’m quite fascinated how it manages to run on redox.

Also, any plans to support x11 and running linux gui apps? I think I read there’s a POSIX compatibility layer.

NetSurf doesn’t use x11 on all platforms. It only uses it on platforms that have it. The Amiga versions don’t use x11 either.
