Hello,

Does Redox have a its own working compiler? Can development work for Redox or its userland software be developed on a running copy of Redox, or does everything currently depend on cross-compiling from another machine/OS?

I am looking for a new OS to play with and server OS to use, and this is generally what I consider to be the bare minimum for being ‘ready’. If not, I can continue to play with NetBSD.

If it so far depends solely on cross-compiling, are their any plans/roadmap points for achieving full OS/platform independence? I was not able to find anything on the topic when I last looked.

Thanks.

Redox does not yet have its own toolchain. It is close, though. Currently you build Redox on another machine.
